Beauty: Mani of the week

Me and Jon were photographing a Charity Ball this week and although it was black and white themed I thought my outfit needed just a little bit of colour and sparkle, so I chose to put it on my nails in the form of Models Own Party Pieces over Collection 2000's Ebony.
I just love this glitter over darker colours to add a bit of sparkle to any outfit or dull day - pity it is such a bugger to get off afterwards!

Has anyone else used this polish? Or any other glitter polishes they would recommend?

Outings - Trip to Bath, dinner at Sotto Sotto

We went on a trip to Bath last week to see my bestie Heather and her other half Pete, we stayed the night and went for dinner at the most amazing italian restaurant called Sotto Sotto. It is the Bath number 1 on Trip Adviser at the moment, you need to book well in advance, but amazingly it is really reasonably priced! We shared 2 big garlic pizza breads to start, then we had a main course each, me and Heather shared a £20 bottle of wine, Pete had a pint and Jon had a soft drink and the bill only came to £65? Isn't that great for 4 people to have 2 courses and drinks! The quality of the food was really high, you could tell everything was made fresh and they used quality ingredients, they could have charged double and it still would have been worth it!
This was the simple garlic pizza bread
And we had a cheese and pesto pizza bread, which was so tasty

Heather with her Pasta
Pete and his Pizza - oh and did I mention the restaurant is in the arches underground by the river! Bloody amazing venue, so cool.
Jon's super tasty Pizza
Heathers Cabonara was really tasty
I had butternut squash and goats cheese cannelloni which was really rich and flavourful
And this was our wine, which had a great crisp fresh taste to it.
My lovely friend and her BF
Before we met up with Heather and Pete we called into a really cute little Cafe called The Roscoff Deli and I had my first ever Cannoli! And I can tell you now, it was so delicious!! It was a pistachio and mint creme filled one, oh so good! Seriously!
And this little lady made herself comfy on our bed when we were out! This is Tilly!

Car Hire Market - Cheap Car Hire in Spain

Although the summer is well and truly over it doesn't mean that the 'taking a holiday' season is over, in fact as I can't deal with the heat I often find holidaying in Autumn or even Winter much better. So on that front I thought I would do a quick post about a great site where you can hire cars for your holiday. Me and Jon like to see lots of places when we travel to new countries, and working out public transport (especially when it is in a foreign language) can sometimes be near to impossible, so we have found hiring our own vehicle a great idea. It gives you the freedom to roam around your chosen destination, see the attractions and sites that are further afield than the major cities, and work on your own time frame.

Finding the right company to hire a car with can be difficult, but we have found that Car Hire Market are great for cheap car hire especially in Spain. They collect all the best hire companies on one site meaning you can find exactly what you want and need. They have so many places where you can pick up a car all across the country, so it doesn't matter where in Spain you are staying you will be able to collect a car close by. Plus they have such a huge range of cars to chose from there will be something that will fit any budget or any size of family. Prices start from around £15 a day, which if you are a family travelling is probably cheaper than a day on public transport! Plus with their pick up and drop off service you don't need to return the car to the same destination as where you started, you can drive across the country and drop the vehicle off at your final destination instead, making your holiday work the way you want it to! Here are just a few of the cars you could be driving:

And it isn't just Spain they cover, you could hire a car from over 178 different countries.
Has anyone else hired a car recently?

Review - Baker Days Cake

Isn't it amazing when you receive cake in the mail?!?! Yep I did say that, last week I got this in the mail, and at first wasn't sure what the heck it was, I hadn't ordered anything and it wasn't my birthday - but lets go with it...
when I opened it up I found this!
CAKE!!!! And a Daisy cake no less! I was sent this by Baker Days. It's like interflora but for cakes instead of flowers. You can choose a cake, or have one custom designed for you, and send it to anyone in the UK. Plus if you order by 2pm you can have next day delivery. It arrives in this great little tin, with a little pack of balloons and party whistles, it's a party in a box!
Now I must say I was a little sceptical at how good a cake could be considering it had been sent through the mail, but I was amazing at how moist and tasty it was. It is clear that the cake really was freshly made as it was really soft and probably far more moist than most of the ones in the supermarket. It was a chocolate cake with a chocolate cream filling and this beautifully designed icing covering.
If you fancy sending someone special one of these cakes you can order them online here, prices start from £14.99 delivered. You can find them on Facebook and Twitter too.
