Beauty News - Wild for Bees, Burt's Bees collaboration with Richard Weston

Here is my second piece of beauty news that I promised you this week.
The new collaboration between Burt's Bees and Richard Weston - Wild for Bees, Milk and Honey Body Lotion and limited edition scarf. The brilliant beauty brand and amazing designer have joined forces to help raise awareness and money for the plight of the honey bee in the UK, and the work done by the British Beekeepers Association and the Adopt a Beehive Project.
The limited edition scarf and lotion set is only available online for £170 with 100% of the scarf sale price going to the British Beekeepers Association Adopt a Beehive Project
The body lotion is made using some of the best skin-softening ingredients. Milk nourishes while honey helps to keep the skin soft, plus coconut, grape seed oil and vitamin E delivers beneficial nutrients to the skin. The lotion is available for £9.99 from the online store, Debenhams and selected retailers.
Now I was lucky enough to receive a full size sample of this amazing cream and I have to say it smells amazing! Very subtle scent wise, exactly as you would expect it smells of milk! It is lovely and creamy, and like their other body lotions a little goes a long way!

So ladies will you be purchasing the new Wild for Bees collaboration line? Ok so the scarf is kinda pricy but I think if I had the money I would definitely buy it. As I don't sadly I would buy the lotion (if I didnt already have it!)

I adore Weston's designs and have been lusting after them since I saw him on the Liberty's buyers programme years ago. They are so unique and beautiful.

Ecards from Ojolie.com

I'm pretty sure I'm no different to anyone else and once in a while I forget a birthday or occasion. Now as much as I love snail mail (and you know I love snail mail!) sometimes you just leave it too late, especially when you need to post it to another country or even another continent! Thats when I turn to the internet and the wonderful world of e-cards!
I recently found Ojolio.com and they have some great animated ecards for all occasions. Whether your after birthday ecards, anniversary e-cards, get well e-cards, congratulations e-cards or any other special occasion they have them all.

I recently received one from a friend in Canada for my birthday last week and was so please! They are great animations, very cute and sweet. and it sung happy birthday to me - what more could I want!

Plus they have so many different cards to chose from and they are always adding new designs. You can get anything from a musical penguin, origami swans, flocks of butterflies and cute puppies to frolicking cats, dancing mice and fun classic automobiles.

So have any of you forgot an occasion recently? If you have you better get over to Ojolie.com and order yourself a card.
Has anyone used Ojolie or e-cards before?

Menswear - ShirtsMyWay.com

I usually don't do a lot of men's wear posts, but every now and then Jon actually needs new clothes so I have to venture in to the menswear territory! As he is the Assistant Manager now he needs to look smart and professional all the time, so he needs some nice new shirts. Thats when I was introduced to ShirtsMyWay.com. As you would expect they make shirts, totally customisable smart tailored shirts.

You can literally build your shirt to your exact specification, altering the colour of each part of the shirt, the buttons, button holes, style, cut, collar, pockets, cuffs - everything! Its like designing your own clothing. Then you just confirm and pay and they ship it right to you. It is brilliant! I think it would be especially good for a wedding if you wanted a specific colour combination shirt.
Now they aren't cheap, starting at around $75 (but you get free standard shipping to most countries) but they are great quality, and getting another custom made costs. They are well worth the money. So why not nip across to www.shirtsmyway.com and buy yourself (I know I have a few male readers) or for your hubby/dad/brother/etc.

Beauty News - Crabtree & Evelyn Himalayan Blue Fragrance

Hello all, I told you earlier in the week that I had a few beauty related posts coming up, and some exciting new product launches to tell you all about. Well here is the first post! I am very excited to be telling you all about this new line launch for Crabtree & Evelyn as I am one of the first people to receive the press release for it! The new fragrance collection is called Himalayan Blue and is said to evoke the heart and essence of the Himalayan mountains. The Himalayan Blue women is confident, likes to wear a characteristic and distinct scent which will shroud her in an unmistakable allure.

Sadly there aren't even any samples available yet! So I can't tell you what I think it smells like but according to the PR information it has a fresh, citrusy top note of crisp mandarin, orange leaf, and a hint of lemon, the heart of the fragrance is composed of ginger, rose blossom, pink pepper, Himalayan golden champaca blossom and wildflowers, and it has a smoky base note of lapsong souchong, sandalwood and a hint of leather. That is one hell of an exotic scent in my book, which to me sounds perfect for this summer weather.

The line will include Eau de toilette £12-£20, Bath and Shower Gel £10, Body Lotion £12 and Hand Therapy Cream £14. And they will be arriving in store from September 12th.

Going Postal!

I love getting mail, especially fun mail and I have been really lucky this week.
I got 3 fun pieces of mail.
Here they are:
Penpal mail from Miki! I adore getting penal mail the most I think. It is always nice to here from friends, and Miki always sends me fun little bits!
Samples from local company Oh! Organics - expect a review soon!
And an amazing (full size) sample from Burt's Bees. This is their new collaboration with Scientist and Designer Richard Weston. Expect another review on this soon too!

So after my fun mail I was wondering if there was anyone else who wanted to exchange some penpal letters, either with myself or if I get enough people involved we could maybe have a big letter exchange. Please just leave a comment below with your email if your interested or drop me an email at daisydayz25 at googlemail dot com

Handmade Jewellery Shop - Adore Creations

Good afternoon ladies, it is a rare gloriously sunny day in Cardiff, yay! And I thought I would bring you a new handmade jewellery shop I found online recently. Adore Creations is based in London and is founded, designed and created by Natalie Grover. Her designs are made using mostly precious metal findings and glamorous beads and materials, such as swarovski crystals and silk fabrics.

You can find her on Facebook and Twitter too if you want to keep up with her new designs.

Here are a few of my favourite pieces of hers

I really love hand-made jewellery as you are almost always guaranteed that it will be unique and a one off, and I think thats far better than mass produced high street jewellery.

What do you think of Adore Creations? Aren't they pretty, I am seriously lusting after that first quartz necklace!

Anyone else found a new designer or online shop recently?

The Doctor Who Exhibition Cardiff

As I now work part time for the tourist board in Cardiff I was lucky enough to be invited to the pre opening day at the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff Bay. If you are a big Doctor Who fan you may have heard about the new Doctor Who Experience. It is a great new Doctor Who tourist attraction, great for fans and people who aren't fans! I don't really want to give away too much about the experience part itself but you more or less walk through an episode or a few scenes from a Doctor Who episode as if you are living out the episode, getting captured by Darleks and landing the Tardis etc. And after that you are able to view the Exhibition/Museum area.

I had assumed you wouldn't be allowed to take pictures, as the BBC are pretty strict about privacy and stuff so I didn't take my camera. But it turned out that although you couldn't take photos in the experience part, you could in the exhibition. So here are some crappy images off my phone of some of the things you can see.

The Doctors outfits through the years
 The Tardis through the years
The Aliens - good and bad

 And the side kicks outfits
The Doctor Who Experience officially opens on the 20th July to the general public and you can book your tickets online.Admission is £13 for adults and £9 for children at the moment, and you need to book a time slot to enter the Experience part.

Is anyone else a Doctor Who fan? I was very excited to get a sneak peek at the centre as I am in face a big fan, and I took my dad who was a big fan of the original series.
Would you visit the attraction if you were in Cardiff?

Computer Security -

Hello Ladies, sorry for my hiatus recently, been very busy with work stuff sadly. And today I'm back with a post about something I wouldn't usually talk about - computer security. But as bloggers or just blog readers we ultimately all use computers, and sometimes things just go wrong with them, and it is completely out of our control. Luckily I now use a Mac for all my work, and they never get viruses (touch wood!), but before I had my mac I had an Acer Laptop. And as with most PC's I needed a good anti-virus to save my computer from randomly dying on me! At the time my chosen anti-virus was Norton, and I still highly recommend it as I believe it is probably one of the best anti-virises on the market.

So this little post is just to let you know about a site called AntiVirusPrice.co.uk where you can download Symantec Norton 360 Version 6.0  for only £29.99 instead of £59.99 for 2 year cover on upto 3 separate PC computers.
So if any of you are looking for a new anti-virus this year I really would recommend this one, as I had absolutely no issues with my laptop for the 5 years I had Norton installed on it.

This dress and shoes were some of my birthday presents off Jon - I am in love with Hell Bunny's Vixen dress range and the new shoes brand I found Ruby Shoo. Oh and I finally worked out how to use those tube roll things to get my hair in a bun! What a god-send on hot days!

Shoes: Ruby Shoo
Bag: Vintage via Etsy
Socks: Peacocks

What do you think of the new Vixen range from Hell Bunny? Anyone else loving it?
Plus what do you think of Diana Cameras? I haven't had mine long and have just developed 2 films, they didn't all come out coz we had some issues with the film, but I will upload the ones that did come out soon, I really like the effect on some of them too.

Sorry I have been a little bit MIA this week, been super busy with some freelancing work and my internship. Hope you are all set for a fun week!
