Outfit Post - A Cowgirl Twist!

It was our works staff do last week and we went to a great place called the Hang Fire Grill which takes place in The Canadian pub in Splott every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So to honour the event we decided to dress up with a Western Theme. So here is my take on a modern cowgirl outfit.
 Dress: Converse
Shirt: Spy Denim Menswear
Tights: Random from TKMaxx
Shoes: Ruby Shoo via Ebay
Necklace and Ring: via Etsy
I didn't have a cowboy hat so I figured bunches would have to do.
I thought the heart print tights would add a bit of extra fun to the outfit and I don't have cowboy boots but I had just bought these Ruby Shoo denim shoes on eBay and they needed some breaking in, so I thought they would be perfect for this outfit. I managed to get them at a bargain price, they usually sell for £40-£45 new and I got these for £11 on eBay and they are practically new, barely worn on the sole at all.
And to finish the outfit off some fitting jewellery for the outfit, my stag skull ring and bulls head necklace! Love them lots!
So what do you think, did I manage to look Western enough?
Have you done any fun fancy dress recently?

Inspiration Monday

The ladies of Two Birds Blog have given us another inspiration photo for this weeks Inspiration Monday post.
This week they chose this casual outfit by Gwen Stefani. I decided that this week I would take the outfit a little less literally as it was a fairly easy outfit to replicate.
So I ended up with this:
I changed up the heels for flats as heels would not have been practical for the outing this outfit was used for, a simple late night backyard BBQ, and I added the white top so I didn't get too old later in the evening.
Shirt: Spydenim Mens Wear
Jeans: Dorothy Perkins
Top: Tommy Hilfiger
Shoes: Converse from China
Glasses: Magazine Freebies
So I kept the check shirt, dark jeans, oversized animal print sun glasses and bright red lippy, so I think I did quite well and put my own comfortable twist on it!

My girly Holiday

Im still really busy at the moment so sorry for neglecting my blog. Once the wedding is done my days off will actually be days off, not wedding prep days. I should get back to normal then, but just bare with me for the mo, please!

Anyway I was away on a mini girly holiday this week so here are some pics for you all! We were in Saundersfoot on the welsh coast. And went to Manor Park, hence the Wallabys, lol!
This is Saudersfoot coast line, luckily it was nice and sunny for the 3 days we were there.
Mummy with Baby wallaby.
Albino Wallaby, isn't she cute!!
Me on the beach. Enjoy this picture as you are unlikely to see many pics of me on a beach, as I don't really like it! lol! I generally hate sand and salty, cold sea water!
Shirt: TKMaxx (mens department)
Playsuit: Vintage M&S
Sandals: Dorothy Perkins (NEW!)
Belt: New Look
My girlies! L-R Jenny, Rachel and Jac.
Lunch on the veranda!! We had our first BBQ of the year!
Ever wondered what happened to Skippy the Bush Kangaroo? I ate him! Yes that is a kangaroo steak! hehe!
Yummy cheesecake and wine! And my separate ice cream, because I'm weird and don't like it on my dessert! I know I'm strange!
Dress: George at Asda

So hope you liked my pictures. I will try bring you some more soon. My honey took some lovely portrait shots of me today and I did some floral shots last week, so maybe I will show you some of them. We are trying to practice using our new camera and lens.
Anyway Byebye for now.
