I promised you Tartan

So here is the outfit I wore to my meeting today, as you can see I wore my tartan jacket! Sorry I look so tired and pale but this was at the end of my very busy day and I am totally knackered after not getting any sleep last night. Now I'm going to assume you were all sending me your good vibes yesterday because...
I got the job I went for. It's only 1 freelance piece a month and it doesn't pay much but it's another thing to add to my portfolio. The wonderful editor has loads of ideas and pieces she wants me to work on over the next few months, and some of them are really exciting so I'm super happy! So thanks for all the good luck messages they obviously worked.

Now for the outfit lowdown:
Jacket: Dorothy Perkins
Blouse: H&M
Skirt: APT9 swap from Francis Joy
Shoes: Taxi

You can't really see all the ruffles on my blouse or my cute little purple silk rose brooch in this photo. Clearly I am lacking any camera skills tonight, sorry!

Ok well I thought I could give you all a little peek at some of my christmas presents from this year even though we are almost 3 weeks after christmas. So here you go:
The most amazing cream fur cape from my sister. And it's from Primark would you believe!!
A stunning almost full length wool coat with fur collar from my parents. Its from the Debenhams collection and is so amazingly warm.
A cute little lace heart bag from my parents, from Next.
Crafting supplies!! I actually asked for these so was very happy to get them. Expect more DIY's this year!! I can't wait to get my glue gun up and running.
This stunning little horse and carriage brooch which I think came from Etsy (my mother is also hooked)
This amazing 2 sided retro quilt is our present from my aunt in Scotland and it is so huge!! It would cover a super king so goes right to the floor all the way around the bed, and it is really cozy!
The mandatory smellies and stuff. Some Lush, Soap & Glory, TRESemme, etc. I am doing another little mini challenge for the start of the year too, the Use It Up Challenge. I will be aiming to use up all the beauty products I have piled up in my bathroom before I buy any more.
And lastly my little oil bug. Isn't he cute? He was a gift from my best friend Rachel and he wibbles about but never tips over.

So what did you guys get for christmas? Anything really fun or interesting?

See you tomorrow!
