Well seeing as my Sunday inspiration this week was to do with pattern mixing and the stunning Vogue Patterns Shoot, I thought I should try out some pattern mixing of my own and try to do my own version of the Vogue shoot (not sure I like the photos that much though? What do you think, honestly?)
Jacket: Silk Trader, China
Dress: New Look via Cardiff clothes swap
Top: F+F Tesco
Boots: Unknown
Belt: Matalan (off another dress)
Bag: China
Necklace + bracelet: China
Ring: Vintage via my aunt
This is my silk jacket I bought in China, the only piece of clothing I bought actually!! It is made of pure silk and the fabrics was all hand made in the factor we went to. It is really stunning quality. I didn't go for a colour that was too bright as I thought I would get more wear out of the black and silver one, although I did try on a red one and a turquoise one too.
The bag also came from China and is a traditionally embroidered bag of one of the tribes (although I don't remember which one now)
Hope the start to your week was good, mine was fine, uninteresting. Just running some errands; post office, food shopping, library, the usual. But this week I am looking forward to a house party tonight and dinner with the rents and Jon's Aunt and Uncle on Thursday. You'll get some outfit photos from those hopefully. Anyone else got anything interesting planned for this week?

Ooh, I love the photos! It's a fun mix of patterns, and I love the way the colors of your outfit pop against the carpet. Cute jacket, by the way.
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea and the pictures! Especially the third one. And you look great in that outfit! It's nice to see you do your thing again :).
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day! Oh, and as for my plan for the week, I have lots of things to do for my trip ... I still haven't started packing or doing anything, hehe.
love the way you pose in the first 2 pictures !

Great pattern mixing. I love the jacket. It's so unique. And it goes well with the dress.
ReplyDeleteLOVE that dress!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, the clashing/mixing patterns looks really effective! And I love your jacket x
ReplyDeletepretty dress!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that jacket...stunning! xo
ReplyDeleteOoo I love the mix of prints (and I love how you mixed it with the carpet print as well haha). I'm such a rookie when it comes to mixing fabrics and prints, you pull it off so well! Hope the house party and dinner makes up for the uninteresting parts of the week! I'm going to a shoot tomorrow for an online TV show, so I'm excited for that :)
ReplyDeletewhat fun pictures!! They look really good. Whenever I'm taking pictures of something that I want to be "above" it's so frustrating that I can't be directly over it, isn't it!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning jacket! Love the mix of patterns :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative idea, girl! I LOVE these photos - though I'm having serious jacket/bag envy. I was in China this summer and saw nothing even close to how gorgeous these are!
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely blog, darling. xox
Love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome photos! And I always love a good pattern mix :)
ReplyDeleteKristine. Or Polly.
