Say hello to my next guest blogger, Georgina from Makeup Pixi3, who is going to talk all about lip balm!
Hello, I thought I'd hijack Chantele's blog today to bring you a beauty post :) Typically most people tend to get dry lips during the winter months, but if you're anything like me you'll be reaching for the lip balm all year round. Even if you don't suffer from dry lips, it's good practice to apply lip balm under your lipstick to help stop the lipstick from drying your lips out. So here's my top picks :)
There's an assortment of different lip balms here, nude ones, clear ones, tinted ones, it all depends on your preference. Personally, I prefer the nude/clear ones, but that's just me :) My go-to lip balm in this list is most definitely the Korres lip balm, it's made out of natural ingredients and smells fresh and amazing. You can't pick up Korres in the shops, only online and they ship from Greece, but when I placed my order, it only took a couple of days to arrive.
A good tip to ensure you have soft lips for the day ahead, is to apply lip balm as you're going to bed, but just before you do that use a sugar lip scrub over them (like the Lush one pictured), this removes any dry/dead skin from your lips, and as it's made of sugar, you can lick it off as a tasty treat! After this this I reach for Burts Bee's. It's quite a thick formulation which is great for the night time, keeping your lips hydrated while you sleep. Then when you're brushing your teeth in the morning, run the brush over your lips as well to remove any dry skin.
The Fresh Sugar rose lip balm deserves a special mention as well, another natural balm but a little difficult to get hold of over here, the one in the picture was in a beauty box :)
I hope you've found this post useful, any questions leave them in the comments, I'll be keeping an eye to reply to them :) Thanks to Chantele for having me and thank you for reading :)

I'm also a lip balm fan as mine get super dry thanks to the chilly winds we get here in the winter, so I will be trying out a few of Georgina's tips. Anyone else got great tips for keeping your lips soft?
