Cross-Jones Photography - Breast Cancer Care Charity Boxing Match

Me and Jon were lucky enough to be invited along to a Charity White Collar Boxing Match last week to help capture all the action in the ring. The event was being held to raise money for Breast Cancer Care, and they managed to raise over £10,000 on the night. We took lost of shots, but I thought I would share just a few here for you, and you can find all the rest on Cross-Jones Photography's Facebook Page. In all honesty I had never seen a real boxing match so was a little worried about how I would feel about it, especially as I was going to be so close to the action, literally kneeling at the side of the ring with my camera all evening. But...I loved it! It is so exciting to watch and things move so fast, everything can change in a split second with just one good punch.

Here are just a few of the great shots we got:

Have you ever seen a boxing match up close? How do you feel about it?

Just Giving - Fundraising Online

Today's post is to give a big shout out to Just Giving, the best way to fundraise online. Most of you will already know about Just Giving and lots of you may even have used it yourself. Personally I have used it on a number of occasions when running the Race for Life for Cancer Research UK and when walking the Midnight Walk for Ty Hafan

I think it is hugely important to help fundraise for national and local causes like these, especially when they are close to your heart. Just Giving allows fundraisers to spread the word of their activities and causes far and wide, simply by allowing them to have their own fundraising page which they can share on social networking sites with all their friends, and friends of friends, and friends of friends of friends (you get the idea!) meaning their reach is far greater.

Although I haven't been able to run the Race for Life this year I am signing up for the Alzheimer's Memory Walk, and I will be helping raise funds for a playground roundabout at our local special needs school.

Have you or are you doing anything for charity this year? I would love to hear about other peoples experience with fund raising and charity events.

Don't forget my Bumper Beauty Giveaway for you chance to win elf, Lush and Burts Bees items

Cardiff News - Pedal Power Vintage Fair

A quick post from me today lovely ladies! This is important for any Cardiff or locally based girls, especially if you like a bit of vintage fashion. Pedal Power the cycling charity who's aim it is to make cycling more accessible to everyone, is having a fund raising vintage and craft fair today!

So if you happen to be out and about in Cardiff and fancy a bit of vintage shopping then why not take a wander over to the Scout Base at Pontcanna Fields and grab yourself a beautiful bargain. Running from 11am-4pm. It's just a £1 donation to get in and all funds raised go towards Pedal Power.
I shall be popping in for a bit to see about finding some new/old little treats, and maybe some items for Christmas (yes it's on it's way!) So if you see me please say 'Hi!'
