Playing dress up with Fashion She Says.

Today is my last guest blogger so may I introduce Becca of Fashion She Says. She styled me a cute New York style outfit using her favourite designer labels. So over to Becca to explain her picks.
Chantele always appears fresh as a Daisy... Here I planned the perfect holiday outfit for her with a fantasy dream team of designers. If Chantele visited me in NYC, I'd take her shopping at my beloved department store: Bergdorf Goodman, where all these clothes hail from. I started by browsing the wares of my preferred brand: 3.1 Phillip Lim & found my favorite shape of the season: the cape. Mr. Lim created a Quilt-Yoke Merino Cape in classic black, which makes a trendy item easy to wear. Capes are wonderful when it's cold outside because one may wear cozy jumpers without feeling bunchy under a traditional coat.
Next I was drawn to Milly's 'Liana' Metallic Lace Shift Dress in gold, which would appear almost nude next to Chantele's peaches & cream complexion (hooray for pale girls!). Gold is especially delightful for the holidays; I adore lace because it's both sweet as a little girl's charms & suggestive of a woman's wiles.
Miu Miu makes the best embellished shoes & these Runway Flower Pumps (which Miuccia Prada deisgned for her fall 2010 RTW fashion show) are exquisitely kissed with metal flora & bows. Usually I live in flats, but Chantele can certainly pull off high heels & this pair is fit for a holiday party.
Finally, she needs a pop of color to spruce up this neutral palette - I picked Marc Jacobs' The Single Shoulder Bag in pink. Mr. Jacobs made Chanel's quilted leather his own with a signature padlock & I'm really feeling the elongated chain strap these days. Chantele can sling it across her body like the jazziest messenger bag, leaving her free to hold hands, drinks & dance of course! She'll be the belle of the ball in this understated festive look - best of all, Chantele can mix & match these separates all season long.

So ladies what do you think of Becca's outfit for me? Isn't it perfect. I totally think it would be something I would wear, if I could afford it! Plus it incorporates Becca's luxe style too. I'm not completely sure on the pink bag, I love the style so much, but I don't really do pink. The cape is my favourite piece though, I would die to own this cape. It's so perfect.

Thanks Becca for this great NYC inspired outfit, I shall try my best to style something similar when I get back.

I want - A wolf print jumper

After buying a polar bear print jumper from Zara and wearing it all the time I thought maybe I should get another oversized jumper with a cool print. I found this beauty at TKMaxx online at £25 it's not to pricy (although I only payed £5.99 for the polar bear one in the Zara sale!)
What would you pair this with? I think maybe my wide legged black trousers and pointy black ankle boots, nice and simple so the jumper really stands out.

Playing Dress Up with Village

Todays post is coming from guest blogger Krystal of Village. Krystal doesn't post outfits but does feature some stunning on trend items. So I thought she would be able to make me a bang on trend outfit with some of this seasons key items.
Dearest Chantele and her readers. Here is my outfit idea for you. I'm wondering if you are down with mixing browns and blacks? I sure am! I chose these items because they seem to be a mix of things I'm in to right now - a big warm sweater (with a must have print of the season), a vintage looking purse and some relaxed black boots to make the outfit look not so polished. You'll never find me without a scarf so i had to throw one in there. Also, red nails are my go to right now. I think this outfit would be perfect for your next trip to London for Christmas shopping ;) Love, Krystal

So what do you ladies think of this outfit? I think I would definitely wear this, especially as the weather in Wales is getting very cold.

Please visit Krystal at her blog for a hit of some pretty stuff, as always.

Playing Dress Up with Chic on the Cheap

Say hello to Lydia my 5th guest blogger for 'Playing Dress Up'. I love Lydia's style and she often recreates outfits herself so I thought she would be perfect for my little recreation challenge.
Hello friends of Daisy Dayz! I'm Lydia from Chic on the Cheap and I'm so excited to be guest posting for Chantele while she's off enjoying her honeymoon!

Chantele asked that I create a wearable look for her to try out when she gets home, and I wanted to capture something with all my favorite fall trends and classic fall colors.

At my blog I like to focus on affordability - so every item in the look is $50 and under, and hopefully the star pieces are ones that Chantele (or anyone else) already has in their closet.
The leopard pencil skirt has almost become a neutral in my mind, it is a truly versatile piece and a closet essential. I built the look around it, adding in rich browns, eggplants and golds. I love to mix up textures; suede, knits and faux fur to really step up the level of glamour. This is a look I would probably take to the office (without the fur), or out to dinner, throwing on a classic trench and grabbing a little black chain strap bag.

I hope you've enjoyed my post and will come visit me soon
Chantele, I hope you are a having an amazing trip!

Back to me...What do we think of Lydia's outfit for me? I am loving the little gloves and the booties! I sadly don't own a leopard print skirt though, may have scout one out for this recreation. I think the looks is stylish, practical and cozy.
Please visit Chic on the Cheap as Lydia's looks are so great and her photos are always pretty.

Playing dress up with Mad Dress Game

So today's post is doubly special: I am bringing you all another of my guest posts but this is also part of this weeks FBFF (Fashion, Beauty, Friend Friday) post. For this weeks FBFF post we had to swap posts with another FBFF blogger. So I paired up with the wonderful Frances Joy of Mad Dress Game. We decided to use my 'Playing Dress Up' theme for our posts so you can find my outfit for Frances over on her blog today, and she made a stunning outfit for me too. So over to Frances.
Hello all! This is Frances Joy from Mad Dress Game. For this week's Friend Friday, we've arranged for some guest posts. For today's post, my job was to style an outfit for Chantele. This is a big job, and I hope I did well.
When I think of Chantele's style, I think romantic with a touch of rockstar. I don't know if that's what she's going for, but it's what I'm picking up. And since she's a girl after my own heart when it comes to seeking out bargains, I searched out the cutest bargain pieces I could find.
I started out with a basic, full black skirt and used a violet cloche as my inspiration point. Seriously, she wears hats so well! I tried to remember to add layers to make this appropriate for the season - I love the houndstooth tights peeking out from under that skirt. A ladylike cardigan, some tough booties, and some quirky jewelry finished off the look. Also, how cute is that owl bracelet? It's a little unexpected and so much fun. The beaded bag adds some color and texture and adds a little pizzazz to the outfit. I like to think that this is a look worthy of a night on the town just because of that lovely clutch.

I hope you like this Daisy Dayz inspired look!

So what do you ladies think of Frances Joy's outfit for me? And my outfit for her? (go check it out too!!) I love this outfit. I adore cloche hats and this purple one is perfect for me as purple is my fav colour! The shoes match so well too. The tights are so cute and I love the simple elegance of the clothing. This outfit would be great for me to go for a casual meeting over coffee. I love that Frances thinks that my style is romantic rockstar, I kinda like that idea and think she is probably right. I do like to wear feminine romantic clothes but then add edgier accessories (Im a rebel at heart, I'm sure)
Thanks Frances for this outfit and don't forget to visit her blog too
