Sunday Catch-Up - 12th January 2014

Well I was planning to write a Sunday Catch-Up post like I usually do, but in all honesty when I started looking at my instagram and iPhone pictures to put the post together, I realised I had nothing interesting to show you, lol! Literally my entire weeks pictures are of food for my Weight Loss Wednesday Posts. My weight loss goal has taken over my thoughts a little! So as there is no point posting food pictures here, when I will be posting them on Wednesday anyway, I thought I would do a bit of a bumper Links and Love instead!
So here is what I have been looking at and loving online this week:
I've been a little bit obsessed with house renovation and inspiration blogs lately, usually I'm just on Design Sponge and Apartment Therapy but thanks to them I found two new awesome blogs - My Scandinavian Home and Little Green Notebook - I'm in love!
And thanks to all the housey obsession I have fallen very hard for Eames Paris Chairs! And the Rocking Chair version! I want them!

I'm currently reading 3 books (well listening to 1). Nacropolis by Jeet Thayil which was shortlisted for the Man Booker in 2012, With My Body by Nikki Gemmell and Count to Ten by Karen Rose.

I've been working on some Valentines Day Craft Articles:
Valentines Day Fashion Crafts
I went to see this in the Millennium Centre - it was awesome! So funny!!

I've been working with a great scientist, Doctor and Writer called Darja Wagner to edit her book on Fertility for over 40's which you can find here. Even if your not over 40 but you need some help with fertility issues this book is brilliant!, I've learnt lots about womens health I never even knew before!

So that's all folks! Hope everyones week has gone well, tomorrow will be a Monday Manicure post so remember to swing by!

Review - Home Treats 'Touch me, I want to feel Dirty' Doormat

I'm still on a roll with my hunt for great homeware items and recently found HomeTreats.co.uk! A british company stocking fun and quirky home decor items and gifts. They had so many things I would love to have in our home (when we eventually have our own home!) So when they offered me a gift from the site I jumped at the chance to get this Rocky Horror Show inspired doormat. It isn't advertised as being a Rocky Horror item, but if you know the show you will know that Janet sings these lyrics to Rocky, and being a massive fan of the film and show I simply had to have it! Luckily my parents see the funny side too!

You will find the item here for just £20, which is a bit of a bargain for a quality item as far as I'm concerned. It took just 3 days to arrive after ordering it and it looks great in its new home by the front door.
There were a few more items that I was swooning over, so I thought I should share them with you too

And if money was no object
Replica Antlers £228 - I have a bit of a thing for antlers!!

Have you visited or bought form HomeTreats.co.uk before?
Which items do you love?

Increation Interior Design

You all know I love a bit of luxury home interiors and I usually get my fix via Design Sponge or Apartment Therapy, but I recently discovered Increation a London based Interior Design company that design the most amazing luxury kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and other rooms in the home. All of their projects have such a high level of design and style and they are all so individual and unique. I hope one day I will be able to make our home look like these spaces. I especially love the floor to ceiling book cases, so amazing!

Here are a few of my favourite rooms, they are simply to die for.
An amazing plush office space
Stunning decadent bedroom
 Minimalist Chic Bedroom

A few majorly chic bathrooms!

How insane is this tiling!
The bath is tucked behind the wall!

A beautiful dinning space

And just a few amazing kitchens

Whats your style? Do you like the minimalist chic look and the bright and boldly designed rooms?

Event - John Lewis Christmas PR Event

So last week was the John Lewis Christmas PR Event, and what a beautiful night it was. Hosted in The Attic Bar of Soda Lounge - the John Lewis team had decked out the whole room with beautiful christmassy delights and some rather amazing fashion and beauty items. The booze was flowing (some rather amazing cocktails!) and the venue had prepared some rather tasty canapés which were circulated for most of the evening. The event was attended by a few local press and lots of lovely local blogging ladies! So here are a few pictures I took of the great evening!

The Winter Wonderland setting was all homely delights in creams and golds. I would love to own most of this area.
Seriously, how cute is this lantern!

And I would love this glass reindeer to go with the other ones I have that are similar. I think glass items like this at christmas are just so classy. He is only £18 if anyone wants to buy him for me!
This was the black and gold christmas tree - so beautiful and elegant looking

The of course there were a few pieces of beautiful fashion.

This dress from Reiss was a big hit!

As was this amazing coat from Warehouse
Fashion and gadgets combined in these amazing earmuff headphones! Plug into your ipod and keep your ears warm at the same time, sweet!

The number 1 kids toy this christmas - The Furby, why I am unsure?
And his new eyes are light up! Freaky!

There was some great beauty on show too.

And of course the lovely bloggers
Georgina and me

Anyone else been to any fun events this christmas yet?

Globee - A Cardiff Globe

Lots of you will have seen my little Globee when I posted a picture of it on my twitter feed, when it first arrived. But I never got around to telling you about Globee, and all they have to offer and why I love my Globee so much.

Well it now has pride of place on my office desk and I think it is far more interesting than a regular old traditional globe - who needs the whole world when you can have a pictorial display of your favourite city and all its best land marks.

Here is mine of Cardiff!
It includes all the big buildings and tourist spots. Including the Millenium Centre, The Pier Head, Cardiff Castle, Roath Park, Victorian Arcades, Welsh Assembly and Castell Coch and the little graphics are all so cute!

With most major UK cities available, plus a great selection of european and american cities too you should go see if they have yours or maybe your favourite vacation city. These would make great gifts or a holiday souvenir. Coming in 3 sizes 4" 6" and 9" and starting at £14.95 plus they do them as Money Boxes and Nightlights! (How cool would a globe nightlight be!)

So there you go! Globees!! How fun are they!
Would you make space for a globe in your room? Is it the type of thing you would like?
Would you get your home town or a holiday destination?

This is not a sponsored post, I was sent the globe as a gift, all opinions here are my own.
