Event - Harrods The Summer of Now Event!

Listen up ladies, this event hasn't happened yet and it is definitely something you will all be interested in attending, and you can! It's today! Online!

So as you can see from the invite above this event is being hosted by Harrods, Online, from 4pm to midnight today and all you lovely ladies are invited. Its to help celebrate and launch their new 'The Summer is Now', because Now really is the start of the summer.

I was totally excited when I was asked to blog about the event today as there are some awesome things happening. As the Great Gatsby is about to hit our screens and fashion this season has been taking lots of inspiration from history and vintage styles, Harrods 'The Summer is Now' and their event today is all based around vintage luxury glamour and lots of 1920's style. 

First up there are going to be flash sales, discounts and gifts available throughout the day on their online store. 

There will be interviews with the likes of Alice Temperley and other stylists asking questions on their favourite Summer Party memories, their must-have pieces for this year and what Summer Parties they are looking forward to and lots more fun and interesting stuff.

Finally there are some totally amazing competitions! You could win a weekend in New York, Cocktail Making Masterclasses, an exclusive preview screening of The Great Gatsby and lastly this stunning Alice by Temperley dress from the designers unreleased A/W13 collection! How amazing would that be! I would just need to find an occasion to wear it!

Best of British

With the Jubilee and the Olympics this year, there is no better year to be British. So with that in mind I thought I would bring you a nice little post about 2 of my favourite and most well known British Brands.

First is Orla Kiely - an Irish label now based in London. Orla is most well known for her eye-catching retro style design prints which can now be seen adorning almost anything, from bags, stationary, home wares and even buses! She originally started as a hat designer but moved into handbags and design after selling her University leaving collection to Harrods. Shop Orla Kiely at Harrods.

Second is Nicole Farhi - Ok so she isn't actually British, she is actually French but the label was started in Britain with the help of Steven Marks under the French Connection label. Started in 1982 meaning she is celebrating 30 years of the label this year. She is another designer who started with clothing but has since branched into all aspects of design. 

This is a perfect Summer Outfit, so cute and chic.
