Outfit Post - A meal in Miller & Carters

My sister started her first proper job last week - officially a physio at Brigend Hospital! Yay! So my parents decided we should all go for a celebratory meal, we decided on Miller & Carter as none of us had been there before and Jon get's 20% off as it is part of the Mitchell's and Butlers group, who he works for.

So this is what I wore - and you may notice my hair is different to how it was before Christmas. I decided I really didn't like the green after any more than 2 washes, as it faded to a horrible colour really quickly. So I gave up on the Green and let it all fade out completely, this is what I was left with and I really like it!
 Top: Nygard Collection
Skirt: Vintage via eBay
Boots: Hushpuppies
Hat: H&M
Earrings: New Look

And here is what we ate!
 Jon's Buffalo Wings
My Duck Pate with bread and caramelised red onion chutney

My Fillet Wellington - as I had never tried it before
Jon's 15oz Sirloin Steak

All the food was amazing! If you live in Cardiff or have a Miller & Carters near you should definitely try it.

Has anyone else been anywhere nice this week?

Outfit Post - The Vintage Skirt

Just a quick outfit post as I have been away for a few days, I am just manically busy at the moment. I have added another magazine to my freelancer work so I'm now working 4 writing jobs, hence the reason the blog slipped a little this week. Plus I passed all my licensing exams last week so am now able to work manager shifts in the pub! Yay! Plus all the organising is in full swing for the blogger meet (I hope you have gotten your ticket as we are all booked up now) So mega busy as you can see, but I thought I would bring you an outfit that I wore to a meeting with St David's PR team last week.
Top: Peacocks
Skirt: (unbranded) Vintage from ebay
Tights: Random
Shoes: Peacocks
Necklace: Vintage (charity shop)

Well back to work I think.

Coffee break

I went out tonight with one of my best-ies and bridesmaid for Coffee at a funky arts cafe near our flat. Its called Milgi, I have never been there before even though I literally live 2 mins away and have lived here 3 and a half years, and boy have I been missing out. I had 2 very lovely lattes and a rose and pistachio cupcake all while listening to funky music and surrounded by vintage bits and artsy stuff it was great! I forgot to take a pic of my cupcake but I will be going back very soon so will take one then, but here is my cute miss-matched mug and saucer.
And here is the outfit I wore tonight. It is getting really cold over here now so I thought I would wear my nice big jumper my mum gave me last week.

And this is for if it gets really cold, I can wear my jumper as a balaclava, lol! The polo neck part is huge which I love coz it keeps my neck nice and warm.

Jumper: Off mum from Per Una at M&S
Skirt: Vintage from ebay
Tights: Random
Boots: Random worn day before yesterday
Trilby: TKMaxx
Beads: top one vintage from ebay, bottom one handmade by me
Then I threw one of my big furry collared coats on over the top and I was nice and snug.
