Outfit Post - A meal in Miller & Carters

My sister started her first proper job last week - officially a physio at Brigend Hospital! Yay! So my parents decided we should all go for a celebratory meal, we decided on Miller & Carter as none of us had been there before and Jon get's 20% off as it is part of the Mitchell's and Butlers group, who he works for.

So this is what I wore - and you may notice my hair is different to how it was before Christmas. I decided I really didn't like the green after any more than 2 washes, as it faded to a horrible colour really quickly. So I gave up on the Green and let it all fade out completely, this is what I was left with and I really like it!

All the food was amazing! If you live in Cardiff or have a Miller & Carters near you should definitely try it.

Outfit Post - Feeling a little Mod

Wore this little outfit before the weather got nice to a little leaving do of a colleague.

 I layered my beaded lace black top under the dress as it was a little cold, and that meant the back had a nice lace panel showing, and puffy sleeves.

How has your week been? Mines been insanely busy with a surprise birthday party for my sister, 5 days in work and a huge pile of writing work to finish!

Bowling Outfit

Its about time you got to see a new outfit post. This outfit was for a friends birthday on Monday and I am wearing my new cloche hat that Jon bought me last week. I love the 20's style cloche hat and had been looking at a few recently so was over the moon when my honey came home with this one for me. It's perfect, grey wool with a big black ribbon rosette.

That D is me, the J is Jon! I beat him and came 4th overall.

Yesterdays Friend Friday post seems to have elicited quite a lot of discussion. And strangely lots of us have the same turn offs when looking at other blogs. Automatic music playing seems to be our number 1. I don't know why exactly we all dislike it so much, but for me its just intrusive. I will often be watching the TV or listening to something at the same time as reading blogs. So when they auto play it irritates me and I will often close the tab, unless I am reading something really special, then I will mute my computer, if I am not listening to something through it.

Other dislikes of ours seems to be:

Posts that are too long

Blurry Images

Blogs that just show Catwalk and Magazine editorial

Blogs that are only pictures with very little content

Blogs that take too long to load

Blogs that are visually chaotic or jarring to the eye

Over advertisement/sponsored posts

Too many celebrity photos

We were all pretty similar with what we don't and our tips to other readers and I think if you are new to blog it may be beneficial to read some of our posts. All of which can be found on Modly Chic

If you checked in earlier this morning you may have found a sunday post. That because I have clearly gone mad and didn't even know what day of the week it was and scheduled the wrong date. Anyway that post will be back up tomorrow, on Sunday!! lol.
