Blogger Spotlight - The New Lady Times

Came across a new blogger this week ladies and as I havent done a blogger spotlight in about 18 months I figured this may be a good time to start again. So say hello to Amy of The New Lady Times!

She isn't a daily outfit blogger (yet) she is more of a find a trend and tell us about it kinda girl, and I love that - no offence daily outfits can get a little tiresome, hense you haven't seen any off me in a little while!

So here are just a few of her great posts so you can see what she is about before nipping over and checking her blog out for yourselves.

And Little Mix take the XFactor Title!!

Well Little Mix took the XFactor title last night, and with it broke the curse of bands on the XFactor!! I do like them but personally they weren't my fav act, but I wish them the best of luck, I think they will be great!

And this was probably my favourite performance of theirs! And it's from the final!

So that means Marcus came in second. I think certain songs suited his voice so well and he was amazing! Then other times he didn't quite live up to the song. Now my favourite performance of his was "She's so Fine" but sadly I can't show you that video on here as XFactor You Tube has disabled the embed code (click here to see it) but here is my second fav of his performances.

Amelia Lily sadly took 3rd place although she was incredibly gracious about it all! I was backing her to win so was a little gutted when she went out, but I think there may have been many screams of a fix if she had won, due to her coming back and HMV pre sale slip ups! But ah well! I think (and hope) she will still score a nice recording contract next year and we won't see the end of her (or marcus! Oh or Misha B!!)

But personally I think this was the best, most professional and flawless performance of the whole season (and it's one of my fav songs ever!).

Events - Oxfam Boutique Catwalk Show

Again I'm a little late putting this up, but better late than never I suppose!

Oxfam Boutique held it's annual fashion show a few weeks back in the Morgan Arcade in Cardiff. It helped to show off what the store had to offer, both vintage and designer garments and it was a great chance to catch up with some of the other blogging girls.

South Wales Blogger Meet

Last night was the long anticipated South Wales Bloggers Meet up. And I am so glad to say it went really well. Everyone had a brilliant time (I hope!) and really enjoyed the entire day.

First I would like to say thanks to everyone who came, and helped make it a really great night. I hope you all really enjoyed yourself.

I would like to say thank to all the stores in St David's and outside who contributed to the event, either for the bags or for the event itself, you were all stars and helped make the night a success. Special thanks to the lovely people at Reiss, G-Star Raw, Boux Avenue, La Senza and Kamigata for coming to give talks of their collections and trends.

Thanks to the Laura, Sarah and Hywel of St David's/Golly Slater for doing all the heavy organising of the event. Guys you pulled out all the stops for us! Thank you so much

To O'Neills (I know I work there but still) BB's Muffins and Krispy Kremes thanks for keeping us going throughout the day. The food was all amazing and greatly needed!

Last to Gemma! My partner in crime on this event. Gem you made organising this event a lot less stressful! Thank you so much for everything you did. I think we make a brill event planning team and I look forward to future events! hehe!

The International Fashionista Giveaway Event Preview

Some of you may know about, or be involved with the amazing Fashionist Giveaway Event being organised by Still Blonde After All These Years.

But if you don't I thought I would fill you all in on the event as I will be participating.

The event will take place between the 14th-19th October and will be one giant, internet and world wide fashion giveaway!!

With 136 blogs signed up to the event it is set to be huge! Each blog will launch a giveaway on the 14th October running until the 19th October. Giveaways are for fashion only prizes and have a minimum value of $50 each (some are a lot more!!)

To get you all a little excited about this even just take a look at the sample LOOKBOOK below of some of the prizes up for grabs.

Presenting South Wales Bloggers Meet

Hello Ladies I am here today to announce the South Wales Bloggers Meet!! Yay!! I have been talking about it for a few weeks now on Twitter but we have launched the sign up for tickets today (it's free!!) And they are disappearing like hotcakes so if you want to attend you better be quick. You can sign up here.

But I suppose you want to know a bit about the event first. Yes? Well me and Gemma of Fat Frocks are hosting it but the event is being sponsored by at held at St David's

The meet up will be on the 12th October in Cardiff.

The general plan is to meet up in the afternoon around 3pm to go for a coffee and have a good chat. We can then hit the shops in Cardiff, taking a look at the unique arcades and the new St David's centre.
At around 6pm we will head to the management suite in St David's for some drinks and a preview of what St David's has on offer for the festive period. There will be gift bags, opportunity to get your photo taken and more time to chat with all the lovely bloggers who attend the event.

Plus after todays meeting with Gemma and the St David's PR team we have also confirmed you will be able to get a mini make over from the Kamigata team and there will be the chance to have some food after the event.

If you are unable to attend the day time (or night time) no worries you can just come to one or the other. Plus we are happy for other bloggers from outside South Wales to attend to, the more the merrier!

We hope to see a few of you there!
