Outfit Post - Everybody Everywear - Coloured Tights

So I thought I should jump on board with another EBEW post. And this months theme is Coloured Tights! Most of you know I am a big fan of coloured tights (actually tights of any form really) So technically I had plenty to choose from, but here's the snag...I had lots of tights but no actual time! Seeing as we only had a few days to get together and photograph this outfit I just haven't had the time as I spent the whole weekend in my pub work gear, and then bombed it home to my parents for a dentist appointment (root canal! Boo!) and a brief meeting before returning home this morning and going straight back to work at the pub.

So I figured I could cheat a little and delve into the outfit photo archive and pull out my fav coloured tights outfits

What I found - turns out I really like purple tights! lol.
Here are my top coloured tights outfits!

So which outfit do you like best?

I clearly like purple tights but which colour tights are your favourites at the moment?
I have green ones I really need to style again so maybe they will be up in a post very soon.

Check out all the other ladies on EBEW

Plus I have a surprise for you all in my next outfit post, will try get it up this week hopefully! Put it this way, I finally made it to the hairdressers!!

Everybody, Everywear - Lace

I decided to take a subtle approach to this months Everybody Everywear. The chosen item was Lace and although I have lots of lace items I really wanted to try styling an item I had had in my wardrobe for a while. It was a swap item (from ages ago) from Frances Joy of Mad Dress Game and it has just a hint of lace on the shoulders.
Dress: Missimo Supply Co swap item from Patty Anne of AlphaBetaChic
Top: Vintage swap item from Frances Joy of Mad Dress Game
Shoes: Peacocks
Earrings: Miss Selfridge
Ring: Dorothy Perkins
Necklace: Birthday gift from my sister
Bangles: Vintage
It's not really a colour I usually wear but I hope I made it work. It also came with a matching dress but I have yet to try and tackle that. I thought the top would be an easier place to start.
See it really does have lace!

So do you like my subtle lace approach? Who else joined in on this months Everybody Everywear? I think lace was a great choice its very pretty and feminine and great for the summer.

I shall be trying my best to get back into blogging but at the moment I am trying to get myself into a pattern for my intership and working the pub. Plus we are moving flat in like 2 weeks so the whole place is covered in boxes and we seriously need to get organised, so blogging may be a bit haphazard until we are settled into the new place.

I'm looking forward to seeing all your floral looks today, it was such a great theme for the start of the summer.

Everybody, Everywear - The Maxi

It's time for another Everybody Everywear post. And this month the 'Maxi' was chosen in a very close vote. If you want to join in with this great monthly challenge, see all the other ladies outfits or just find out more about the group just click the link below.

Maxi Skirt/Dress Everybody, Everywear

And here is my outfit (plus a quick peek at the bunnies, photos of them coming this week. Delilah is cleaning in Jaspers ear in this photo)

Dress: Primark

Cardigan: Fashion Union

Sandals: Peacocks

Hat: Primark

Necklace: Random Gift from my parents

Sunglasses: Free with a magazine

Bag: Primark

I've been wearing my contacts alot of the past few weeks as the sun is out and I wanna wear sunglasses!

And now some pictures of me prancing about like the mad hippie I am in this dress.

I don't think I have worn this dress in about 2 years so I thought it was about time it had an outing and this seemed like the perfect reason.

Are you a maxi wearer or will you be sporting the on trend midi this year? I just find the midi length quite unflattering on me.

I find it quite hard to style this dress any differently, thanks to the bold pattern I find I usually just end up wearing it on its own. How would you style this dress differently?

Everybody, Everywear - Polka Dots

It's the day of the polka dots over on Everybody Everywear and anybody who is a long term reader of my blog will know I have a total addiction to polka dots in any colour or style. But I felt for this months challenge I should don my favourite piece of Polka Dot clothing, my 50's style polka dot dress!
Dress: Matalan
Cardigan: F+F at TESCO
Shoes: New Look
Owl Necklace: Internacional
Tights: Random
Hair Bow: Random

This dress was a bargain at only £16 from Matalan last summer, my hubby bought it for me!
Paired with my yellow rose cardigan from F+F at TESCO I think it keeps a sweet girly look.
I have worn this dress so many times, I love it, but I pair it with different cardigans and jackets and it seems to give it a total different look.

30 for 30 - Day 4 & Everybody Everywear - The Blazer

So I am gonna have to make this a mega quick post as I am on my way out the door to work, and if I don't sort the post out now (Monday Night) I won't have time before tomorrow. I decided to roll two challenges into one post and use one outfit with just a little difference.

First up my 30 for 30 Day 4 outfit (I apologise for my creased skirt but this was a quick shot taken before packing the outfit and I assure you it was ironed before it was actually worn out of the house)
Outfit made up of: 4+13+22+26
4. I.N.C
13. Nygard Collection
22. F+F
26. TKMaxx
+
Random Leggings
Random Feather and bead necklace
Random Ring
Hair band from Canada
Some pattern mixing as you can see. I have been wanting to pair these 2 items together for a while but just hadn't gotten round to it. I think the strong flower motif on both makes them work well together. Plus I don't own a lot of yellow so think it's great the two piece work with each other. I think I could also do this outfit with a plain white tank top in the summer, when it is a little warmer.

Now for my second part. This months Everybody Everywear item was - The Classic Blazer. I didn't put one in my 30 for 30 - so this doesn't count as a 30 for 30 outfit but I am using the basic items with the blazer. This is how I change my look very simply from casual to business. Drop the cardigan, necklace and bow hairband - pull on a smart black blazer and don my glasses and voila... a chic business look
Blazer - River Island
Brooch - Vintage

This was worn to a business meeting with my new editor.

Ok so thats all, coz if I don't leave now I'm gonna miss my bus.
Hope you like my outfits for both the challenges. What would you pair my skirt or cardigan with? Any suggestions?

Everybody, Everywear - Breton Stripes

So today is the official start (or my official start) of the Everybody, Everywear site. The idea is that each month a different item of clothing will be chosen and all the participating bloggers will style the outfit and submit their photos to the site. That way everyone will be able to see the different ways you can style a specific item.
So this month, Breton stripes were chosen. At first I drew a bit of a blank, because I wasn't actually sure I owned any Breton stripes, but I eventually spied this cardigan while I was clearing out my jumper box this week. So, here is my styling of breton stripes.
Cardigan: Fashion Union
T-shirt: Tommy Hilfiger
Trousers: Tommy Hilfiger
Necklace and Bangles: Vintage
So you may notice, no shoes! Lol I didn't actually leave the flat in this outfit, it was for a loungy day before I went to work. I apologise for the lack of make-up, I didn't notice how pale my face looked today.

And a bit of music for you. I wanted to post the official video, which you can find here, but it is blocked for embeding so here is a live version instead!

Willow Smith..She's 10...10!!!
Awesome!
