Travel - Bonjour Paris! - Day 1

As you all know we went to Paris for a quick last minute 2 day trip for our wedding anniversary and I thought it was about time I let you all see what we got up too.

Here is Day 1 of our Paris trip
Some statues in the Louvre
Some paintings in the Louvre - of course the Mona Lisa

The Louvre pyramid - it is so interesting to look at, Jon had lots of fun photographing it
Waiting to get in! The queue was massive but only took 30 mins so not too bad
Our evening meals from Day 1 and 2. Evening 1 - Duck Platter and Salmon Platter in a restaurant opposite the Notre Dame. Evening 2 - tri pasta dish and the most amazing cream, potato, cheese and bacon pizza - YUM!
Giant Meringue
Jon's Dessert - Wild West Sunday - Look how happy he is with the Pyro-techniques! I swear there is no Health and Safety in Paris this restaurant was tiny and this is their dessert speciality.
The Louvre - this place is freaking huge!
Da Vinci Code anyone?
Jon loved this creepy ghost like statue
Dumb Dumb meets Dumb Dumber! hehehehehe!
I feel they may have discovered Weed in Ancient Africa - Chilled Man!
A Mega totem pole
Me at the Notre Dame Cathedral
Oh and Jon was there too!
I should be paid for advertisement like this! My St David's Umbrella outside the Nortre Dame
Notre Dame

So this was our first day in gay Paris! We had amazing food, saw amazing art and visited amazing buildings - and Jon get in a few amazing photographs. So an amazing day all day round!

Have you visited the Louvre or the Notre Dame?
Or Paris in general? What do you think of it?

  2. Awe, happy belated anniversary, guys!!! :D And wow, what an awesome way to celebrate it! The photos are amazing.

I went to Paris only for 4 days after spending a month in England (to learn English). Can you believe that right before leaving England I placed my huge suitcase on top of my glasses and broke them?! :( It was so sad not to be able to see the Louvre or Luxembourg Palace properly!

Hope you have a great weekend! ;D
