Charity shop shopping trip

It's just a quick post for tonight guys as I'm just not in a bloggy mood, have total and ridiculous writers block. I have been accepted as a film reviewer for a welsh website (unpaid for now) but cannot get my brain into gear to write anything at the mo, and have 3 600 word reviews due Monday morning! Blah!

Anyway, I went shopping today to find some stuff to sell on my little shop. I was after vintage stuff but knew it was unlikely I would find any hidden gems as the charity shops around me don't really stock nice vintage stuff. So 4 shops down and I had picked up a denim vest, a stunning Kookai Skirt and a vintage floral patterned top. I was just about to give up as I only had 2 shops left on our street and neither stock that greater stuff usually. Then I struck gold with a stunning black evening gown from M&S, not sure on the date at the mo, will have to do a little researching to find out, but know it is definitely vintage. It will be up on my store for 1 of you lovely ladies to bag next week, after I have photographed it modeled on my little sis (its too tiny for me!)

I was also on the hunt for a evening gown for me as I have a ball in march, but have yet to find something new/old to wear. I real want a vintage 1950's gown. You know knee length full circle skirt, sweet heart neckline and off the shoulder straps with a little puff sleeve. Yeah I'm pretty sure of what I like but I have yet to find it, anyone got any suggestions?

Sorry for no pics today

  2. PoshGirlVintage.com has a lot of 1950's party gowns, but they're quite a bit pricier than anything you'd find in a thrift shop! But still, they've got a lot of really adorable dresses that you might like! :)
